A Brief History On Killer Mike

Born Michael Render, Killer Mike first made his debut in 2000 on the Grammy Award winning single by Outkast, The Whole World, off of their greatest hits album Big Boi and Dre PresentOutkast. A home-town, team player from the South, Killer received much acclaim for his 2003 release of his debut album, Monster.
The album included the singles A.D.I.D.A.S(All Day I Dream About Sex) and Akshon(Yeah!), which was the leading single for the album. The single "Akshon" featured guest vocals from Outkast and was even chosen to be a soundtrack to EA Sports Madden NFL 2004.
Monster received much response from fans because of its high energy and Killer hopes to bring back the cool aesthetic to the south music from his second album, Ghetto Extraordinary.
The passionately written and produced album is set to have the song My Chrome released as its first single. The single is produced by former Earthtones 3 duo Mr. DJ, and features Big Boi. It contains rich horns over a fast paced drum pattern.Mike has also made the song Dungeon Family Dedication, which attempts to explain the reason of the take over of the label by Big Boi and reminisces of the old days of the Dungeon Family and Organized Noize. Killer Mike is currently signed with the label from Big Boi called Purple Ribbon and hopes achieve getting listeners to what is being said as well as get crunk with his second album.
