The song was the group�s first # 1 pop single and received wide acclaim from audiences across the world. The song serves as an apology to the actual Mrs. Jackson (Erykah Badu�s mother, Erykah Badu being Andre 3000�s ex-girlfriend and mother of his child). The apology seems very sincere and from the heart and begins with a dedication by Dre to �all of the Baby Mamas, Baby momma momma�s and Baby momma�s mommas of the world.� The Outkast Ms. Jackson video can best be described as a work of art. It is filled with many odd turns and unusual props that are a good complement to the unusual beats, samples, and rhymes of the song. Although obviously commercial, the song still maintains its credibility while entertaining because of the creativeness put in the video, song, and delivery of its overall message. Favorite Lines:I really like both Andre�s and Big Boi�s versus in this song. Probably because of the sincerity I could sense in this song.And let her know her grandchild is a baby, and not a paycheck Private school, daycare, shit medical bills I PAY THAT I thought Big Boi made a very powerful statement with this line. The money alone from child support checks does not replace the fact that a father needs to be there to give love to their child. So it is not enough to simply substitute his responsibility of being there for his child with a paycheck every month. On the oak tree, I hope we feel like this forever Forever, forever, ever, forever, ever? Forever never seems that long until you're grown In this line Andre questions the notion of being together with someone forever. Makes you question just how long is forever. It�s only until you�re older that you realize that to be together �forever� is binding and should last an eternity. In this line Andre reassures Mrs. Jackson that he won�t just be another deadbeat dad. He�ll be there from the beginning of his child's life until the end and that he doesn�t have any bitter feelings for the break up for their commitment. This is a good line.
