Outkast Red Velvet
I absolutely love this song. Outkast Red Velvet is actually very close to being at the top of the list of my favorites from Stankonia, probably just a little below third place.
The basic message of Outkast Red Velvet is simple but speaks so much truth. The song says to be humble with your blessings. If youre fortunate enough to be ballin then do it with class, because people dont like those who are too gaudy and flashy.
Big Bois flow in this song is sick. He literally rips the opening verse alive and eats it for dinner. And of course you cant ignore Andres verse. He comes in offer an extremely introspective verse. Then the hook, followed by the bridge between the verses just compliment the song perfect. This entire song was just well thought-out. The more I here the song, the more I love it.

Favorite Lines
Ball if you want to but do it with some class G
Definitely my favorite line in the song. It basically sums up the entire song. There are some people who feel that all the gaudiness and flashiness earns you respect, but most of the times it just earn you envying eyes. Not to say that you shouldnt want to earn money and treat yourself every now and then, but just realize that there are always people watching and jealous eyes are inevitable. In my opinion, a humble attitude will always wreak the most benefits in the end.
Prioritize to live through Tell these other niggas how you bought yo' kid some tennis shoes Let these brothers know that your momma she got her house too Let these niggas know that your sister wouldn't of.. finished.. college.. without you
This line is just real deep to me. Sure people can see you balling with your flashy cars, rims, clothes, jewelry, but what about the other things that people dont always see. Like your contributions to your family, community, and friends. Youre still spending your money and balling but this time youre doing it on other people. And nobody in their right mind will be able to dislike you for helping others.
Bill Gates don't dangle diamonds in the face of peasants when he Microsoft'n in the place You gettin on my nerves, well I'm gettin on your case Consider your surroundings or you leave without a trace
This line offers a real good comparison. You dont see Bill Gates walking around with countless diamonds and millions of dollars of accessories on his body. When you do that, youre only putting yourself in danger. So Andre then offers a final word of advice, consider your surroundings (whether they be who you hang with or the places you walk) or you could leave the world as if you never existed.
