Outkast Video
Whats your favorite Outkast Video? Thats a pretty ambiguious question right? A tough one at that. Ive seen probably all of the videos, new to old, and they just seem to keep be better or worse, depending on the state of mind that Im in. Thats the beauty of their work, a work of art if you would call it. An Outkast Video can touch on sorrow to laughter, to dope music, to party music, and they always seem to hit the target right on point. With their favorite director, Bryan Barber, it doesnt surprise me that their meanings almost always have deeper meaning then what first meets the eye. Anyway, I ramble, heres a list of my top 10 Outkast Videos:10. Outkast Roses - Speakerboxx/The Love Below This video had a lot of cameos and I love the sort of Westside story plot of the whole video. It was definitely a winner from me, and Outkast Caroline as the vilian was epic in my opinion, touching on a lot of the fails of the classic golddigger stuck up girl. 9. Outkast Hey Ya- Speakerboxxx/The Love Below This is of course the video that launched Andre 3000 into ultimate stardom. I can still remember being in high school and seeing the thugs of our class banging these sounds from the trunks, classic. 8. Players Ball - Southernplayalistc A smooth tale of the old south at its finest. This was amongst the first of their videos and its amazing to see how they changed over time. 7. Ms. Jackson - Stankonia A great video on so many tales that captured the message of the song in a quirky, fun way. With the barking dogs and owls and rest of the craziness of the video, it only made sense that this was an Outkast Video. This song is actually one of my favorite Outkast Ringtones too. 6. Outkast Rosa Parks - Aquemini Another Southern classic that garned so much attention it even had the namesake herself suing Outkast (or at least the party representing the Civil Rights Activist). The drums from Morris Brown College and harmonica drop at the end was fantastic, and Big Boi was actually the first to rock a throwback jersey in this video, sparking a worldwide trend of the collectibles. 5. Outkast The Way You Move Great video that features the smooth Sleepy Brown. It was actually an extension of Hey Ya, which features jazzy dancing and over very chilled singing. 4. B.O.B. - Stankonia Shot in the infamous Bankhead courts of Atlanta, this high-paced song has a high-paced colofrful video to accompany it. It features all of the members of the Dungeon Family and even has a special cameo of Big Bois Boom Room strip club. 3. The Whole World Outkast Greatest Hits This was one of the videos where you are just like what were they thinking. How did they come up with such an idea to represent the song. But it fits perfect of course. Clowns, circuses, magic, what more could you ask for? 2. Jazzy Belle - Atliens This is actually my favorite song from them so its only right that I have the video up there. The video shows Andre 3000 and Big Boi in a strip place and find the surprise of his baby daughter grown up and now working as one of the dancers. Although its only a dream, still a scary thought. Makes you remember that everyone that you know was at one point a child, where life takes you dont know until you get there. 1. I Cant Wait ft. Sleepy Brown of the Dungeon Family My favorite Outkast Video. The song in itself is great, Andre 3000s flow in this is sickening. But then the video is just wonderfully smooth, with Sleepy Brown around all of those gorgegous woman in the video. Its a true pimps tale and the video does it justice.
